I took his font into Font Forge and took out the space characters. This puts the barcode character for a space after the last asterisk of your barcode, which makes it unreadable (at least it does for my Android’s barcode camera scanner). ![]() I didn’t know this, but apparently Microsoft Word inserts a space just before the carriage return every time you press enter to start a new line. We have barcode scanners for keeping track of inventory in my line of business. An issue that has plagued us for some time is that the “Free 3 of 9 Barcode” font created by a great guy named Matthew Welch (located here: ) does not work so well with Microsoft Word.
