When I've finished the book, I'll go back a revisit the dog-eared pages. Do you make notes as you read? I want the reading to be as much like an ordinary reading-for-pleasure experience as possible, and I don't usually read with a pencil and notebook in hand. This would be an awesome thing for a teacher to do. There are now over reviews written by kids! The guide is designed for children 4 - 18 although adults are welcome to use it, too! The guide has five pages of sample reviews from real readers so kids can see what they look like when done. We published all of the reviews on Amazon. I asked publishers for books I thought gifted readers might like, and then I asked kids in Mensa to read and review them. ReadWriteThink has a variety of resources for out-of-school use.
